Faith IS included. “for by grace you are saved by faith, and that (faith) is not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Eph. 2:8)
Also, look up and consider “the faith OF Messiah” (not in all translations): Gal. 2:16; Phil. 3:9.
Yochanan, please don’t put words in scripture that aren’t there. In fact, every reading tells us that it is GRACE that is not of ourselves, not of works lest any man should boast! Certainly not FAITH!
What is faith?
Heb 11:1Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. 2This is what the ancients were commended for. 3By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
James sure boasts about his faith:
James 2:18 But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”
Yes YHWH gives us a repentant heart that allows us to develop our faith…but remember folks have faith in many things that aren’t of God, therefore we must be careful when considering this topic.
You quote Gal. and Phil. that are taken out of context. Galatians 2:16 is about justification and Phil is about righteousness. The first comes from Christ, the second is pretty simple also:
Phi3:8What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.

The RIGHTEOUSNESS comes from God, not the faith…
