Half way into drawing this strip I realized that this was the second Noah’s Ark comic in a row. This is funny because I had about eight different strips I wrote and wanted to do but this one was calling to me. I didn’t know why initially but then it occurred to me that I have been thinking about “in the days of Noah” a lot recently:

“And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.” Yeshua as quoted in Luke 17: 25 – 27 (I like the way I can use red ink here.)

The fact that Yeshua describes the time of His return as “in the days of Noah” really eats at me. I see it all around. I hear it in the discussions of people. It seems that so many of us assume the way we live must be working because it has always worked. I actually don’t think it’s working so hot. We have all sorts of craziness going on and lots of folks are feeling a strange pressure all around them. Most of us want to escape but we only do so by trying to have fun with what our society has to offer.

Ok, I’ll get off of the soapbox… for now.

Thanks to everyone for reading and commenting. I’ve been super busy recently with conferences, a new position at work, and making time for loved ones. I’m excited for things to calm down a bit so I can do more writing. I miss it. Which reminds me, I have a short story that I need to post. I just have to do some illustrations. Keep an eye out for it to come soon.
